TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BARRACUDA
DEST CARD SCHEME
A DEST (Diving
Equipment Servicing and Testing) PRIVILEGE DISCOUNT CARD (or ‘DEST CARD’) is
offered to a club/school and is not transferable, the card remains the property
of Barracuda Dive Centre Ltd; Barracuda reserve the right to cancel the card at
any time.
A DEST card is provided
for the purpose of offering discount on diving equipment servicing and testing
only; it does not provide for discounts on retail sales or on Barracuda
training courses. The DEST card can only
be applied to current Equipment Servicing and Testing services provided directly by Barracuda.
A DEST CARD is offered to the club/school for club/school and their member’s
diving equipment; a minimum of 4 items of equipment must be submitted at any
one time in order to qualify for a discount. For non-comprehensive, guidance purposes only, a single
item of equipment would comprise:
·
A
minimum of first and second stage for a regulator (a console and hoses do not
constitute a separate item )
·
An
air cylinder
·
A Buoyancy
Compensator
·
A diving
suit
A single inflatable
boat brought in for repair is an exception and would qualify for DEST CARD
scheme discount.
If in doubt ask Barracuda; in case of disagreement, Barracuda’s decision will
be final.
The original DEST
card must be produced for inspection by Barracuda staff at the time of
submission of equipment for Service/Testing in order to qualify for a discount.
All club/school equipment serviced or tested under
the DEST CARD scheme will be registered and copies of service records kept by
Barracuda Dive Centre Ltd. These records
can be made available to the relevant club officers to assist with
administration. Furthermore, a nominated
club/school officer will be sent a reminder when the due date for next Service
approaches for items of equipment (unless the club/school chooses to opt out of
this free service). The above record sharing and reminder services are provided
(without obligation to Barracuda) as a free additional facility to DEST CARD
scheme members as conditions permit.
On request by the
customer, equipment serviced by
Barracuda can be tagged with the date when the next Service is due. However, there is no obligation on behalf of
the club/school or Barracuda to tag equipment in order to benefit from DEST CARD scheme membership.
Any additional cost
incurred, when it is necessary (with customer approval) to send equipment away
to manufacturers for Service/Repair and
/ or the cost of additional parts that are not included with the standard Service
kits, will not be covered under the DEST
CARD discount sceme.
All replacement parts
fitted as part of a standard Barracuda Service are guaranteed by Barracuda for
one year for the full cost of the replacement part. All equipment requiring repair under the Barracuda guarantee must be
returned to Barracuda within the year; any work carried out on the equipment
before return to Barracuda may invalidate the guarantee.
The above Terms
and Conditions are correct as of 19th January 2008, but are subject to change
by Barracuda without notice. The current
Terms and Conditions may be inspected on the Barracuda web-site or by visiting
the shop.
